2023 GMC Sierra at Mainstreet Buick GMC Of Kansas City
Last year, the GMC Sierra underwent an overhaul as the interior, exterior, and engine options were significantly improved. This year, while the Sierra remains essentially unchanged, there are a few touches added that make the Sierra one of the most well-rounded pickups on the planet. For example, the AT4 has several advanced safety systems and some new paint and wheel choices. There is also a new AEV package that you can get on the AT4X trim, which has a front-bumper winch, additional steel skid plates, and black 18-inch wheels. Want to know more about the 2023 GMC Sierra? What kind of power does the Sierra have?
Several engine options are available for the GMC Sierra, and each is incredibly powerful and efficient. The first engine we have to tell you about is the turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder capable of producing 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. Optional on the first couple of trims is a 5.3-liter V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The second trim, the SLE, is available with a terrific turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six cylinder diesel engine kicking out 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, while the highest of the high trims are available with a 6.2-liter V8 that makes a spectacular 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. If you go with the four-cylinder or the 5.3-liter V8, the GMC Sierra will come with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while a ten-speed automatic is available for the four-wheel-drive 5.3-liter V8 as well as the diesel engine, and the 6.2-liter V8. Rear-wheel-drive is standard for most trims, though four-wheel-drive can be had for those who want a little more traction on bad weather days.
What kind of features can I get with the Sierra?
Eight excellent trim levels are available for the GMC Sierra, and each one provides drivers with exceptional luxury, tech, and performance items that all drivers will love. The base trim is the Pro standard with 17-inch steel wheels, LED headlights with automatic high beams, chrome bumpers, heated exterior mirrors, remote keyless entry, and a tilt-only steering wheel. But wait, that's not all! The Pro also has vinyl floor coverings, cloth or vinyl upholstery, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Next, we have the SLE. You will be privy to remote keyless entry and an upgraded 8-inch touchscreen, along with several options, including a bed-camera system that combines a cargo-box camera and provisions for two additional trailer-mounted cameras. The Elevation adds to the SLE with several advanced features, such as a remote-locking tailgate, LED foglights, and two USB ports in the back seat. Higher trims provide some of the best luxury and performance equipment, such as a locking rear differential, a MultiPro configurable tailgate, and dual-zone climate control. You also get several luxury items, such as a trailer brake controller, heated-and-ventilated front seats, and heated second-row seats. Are you going off-road? The AT4 is made for that, as you get a 2-inch suspension lift, standard four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case, and skid plates. There is nothing that the GMC Sierra can't do!
Is the Sierra safe?
Every trim of the 2023 Sierra has extensive safety features that are sure to keep you and your loved ones safe as you travel on and off the road. For instance, a safety alert seat vibrates the driver's seat cushion when a safety warning is triggered. There is also automatic rear braking that will automatically apply the brakes so that the Sierra avoids an immediate collision with an object or vehicle, all of which are optional. Coming standard is a Frontal Collision Mitigation system that will warn you of an impending collision and apply the brakes if you fail to do so, and a Lane Keeping Assist system, which will make minor steering corrections if you drift outside the painted lines.
